When using the right-click menu on a winch to extend the cable, the Cable State reports that it is "Extending". If one then uses the right click window to retract the winch without first stopping it, the cable begins to retract but the Cable State reports "Idle".

This also works in reverse, when switching from retracting to extending without stopping.

The GUI does not allow you to do this, but I think you can get the same issue with action groups.

This is not an issue for most purposes but having Cable State update properly would be a handy feature for kOS users.
