Telescopic pistons move in wrong direction.

Steps

  1. Enter a new vessel in VAB
  2. Place a command pod
  3. Place a Telescopic Piston Segment (For example, A) on the BOTTOM of the pod, such that the small end is attaching to the pod.
  4. Optionally, place more pistons.
  5. Place a fuel tank on the bottom for stability.
  6. Launch the vessel
  7. Use the left/right arrows on the GUI to "extend" the piston.
    Result:
The pistons shrink down into the fuel tank, clipping the parts they are attached to and eventually exiting the other side of the fuel tank.
    Expected:
Pistons should "extend" in the direction their model shows, outward.
    Additional Info:
Using the root changing mod, moving the root to the fuel tank switches the direction to properly extend. However, I built a 4 legged mover that was supposed to use the telescoping pistons to lengthen the legs, but the pistons all go in the wrong direction. If I move the root so that one goes the right direction, all the others go the wrong direction, so one leg gets longer while the other three shrink and topple the whole thing over.
