It makes it impossible to use ModuleManager to adjust settings. Most of the KIS settings are not intended to be changed by the third parties but there are some that should be: KISConfig/StackableModule and KISConfig/StackableItemOverride. Other mods may introduce new parts or modules that should be stackable.
