When a simple part needs to be replaced (e.g. if it's broken) usual approach would be detaching old part and then attaching a new part from inventory. Though, due to lack of aligning tools in KIS the new part almost never looks the same way as the old part was. Given there is a part in inventory KIS can just "switch" the parts, which in terms of implementation could be a bare configs swap.
