In the new version a kerbal can be assigned to the command seats in the editor. In spite of it's possible to manage items in the editor for the seat, the items are not actually transferred to the kerbals inventory on launch.

Turned out, it's not trivial to make this kind of "pods" to work. For now, simply disable it in the editor.
