I can build rockets and what not and place containers but I am unable to place items into the inventory slots both in the containers and in the Kerbal's inventorys in the command pod.

Never mind Im Stupid. Read the User Guide and Figured out you have to drag objects instead of clicking them in then trying to place them in. Sorry Everyone
