Description:
The Magneto Inertial Fusion Engine won't have plume effect unless the "Very Heavy Lifter" Tech node has been unlock, despite those two are totally unrelated.

Steps to reproduce:
1, Unlock Magneto Inertial Fusion Engine but do not unlock Very Heavy Lifter node.
2, Build a vessel using Magneto Inertial Fusion Engine. You will oberve that Magneto Inertial Fusion Engine do not have plumes nor sound.
3, Recover that vessel, then unlock Very Heavy Lifter then build that vessel again.
4, Plume and sound are nominal.

While the plume disappearing ,the engine menu says hydrogen propellant despite actually consuming Lithium.
