With SURF+ selected the pitch/roll/yaw controls have bugs:

  • The Roll Control Range matters even with pitch and yaw unchecked. If the orientation is too far off no roll control happens. In the HybridController itself, if pitch + yaw are disabled then Roll Control Range should probably be ignored (and if one or the other is checked then only use that distance for Roll Control Range?)

  • The CUR button on yaw seems buggy? I hit CUR on both pitch + yaw and then enabled control on both and it yawed me around.

  • Even with nothing enabled all the axes behave like "KILL ROT" is enabled. We do need to kill roll in order to control pitch or yaw sanely. I can see how its useful to kill pitch or yaw at the same time as controlling yaw though since it gives you manual, stabilized control of pitch + yaw, while setting the roll angle -- but if you're entering the atmosphere what you want to is to just set roll to zero and let the pitch + yaw be buffeted by the atmosphere and not burn RCS trying to kill those deviations.
