MechJeb causing game crashes.

Before installing MJ I would have no crashes at all, but now I get about one every half hour. I was wondering if other people had this issue or is it just my computer causing issues.

Thanks

It could be at anytime, sometimes when the game is loading (doesnt seem to be at any specific point when loading), sometimes happens during launch or in orbit, it appears to be random.

In what situations do you get the crashes? Is it when certain windows are open?

First I'd try deleting and reinstalling MechJeb. If that doesn't help, what exactly happens when the game crashes? If you could pastebin the last few hundred lines of your log file (found at KSP_Data/output_log.txt on windows) after a crash, that would be helpful.

For me Mechjeb 2 crashes the game when i use the vessel info in the VAB/SHP it makes a noise that sounds like and Windows error and the a small window sad (Get thred error)

@lukepamler you need to change this to a bug so they see that it is a bug

@r4m0n i only have mechjeb installed and some times MechJeb causes the game to crashe in the VAB or in flight

Only admins can change issue labels. We're using "bug" to indicate things we've confirmed are bugs, which is not the case here.

It may seem counter-intuitive, but the fact that a crash starts occurring with a mod installed does not necessarily mean it's the mod's fault. For example, if your computer is low on memory, installing mods can introduce crashes. When this happens, the mod is not to blame — your computer is.

If KSP is crashing, and if you think MechJeb is responsible, please attach a crash dump and describe what you were doing. In the meantime, while I'm sorry if you're experiencing issues, I'm afraid we can't solve a problem we can't observe.

It's been 11 days since we asked for a crash dump, with no response, so I'm going to close this issue for now. I'll be happy to reopen this issue if someone can provide a crash dump and a clear, comprehensive description of what they did to make the crash occur.
