in Kerbal Space Program/Plugins/PluginData/MechJeb2

look for

mechjeb_settings_global.cfg

you will find a clause like this...

MechJebModuleLandingGuidance
{
windowVector = 802,276,179,260
showInFlight = True
showInEditor = False
enabled = False
}

change the first two numbers to something low...
