Entering numbers in dialogs trigger action keys.

At least on the linux version if you type in 90 in the heading field it will trigger action groups 9 and 0.
While I agree this is a problem (it bugs me too), as a work around you can use the number pad (unless you're using KAS (on any ship in physics range), then there's just no avoiding triggering something).
I guess this is a limitation of KSP itself, but I sure wish there was a way
a plugin UI could capture they keyboard completely, (maybe the game needs
to make capture really obvious with a temporary zoomed in UI element) but
it can really be disastrous !
