Firstly, hand-plan a route that get a very close approach to target, then make this process automatic:
firstly, change prograde amount by small step (like 0.01), then watch closest approach to set to minimum.
When minimum reached, change radial amount in the same way, to closest approach=minimum
then change normal amount to closest approach minimum
then use prograde-radial-normal continue repeating this step to intercept
Automatic process will be of great help to highly effective orbit transfers
(now I do it manually by maneuver node editor, however it's torturing because this will take hundreds of steps)
