Apparently the new kethane geodesic grid does not play nice with MJ. There is a bug with the grid that causes it to randomly flicker as you zoom and is more or less invisible. I personally have only experienced this once and for me, it seemed to be triggered by hyperedit. The kethane staff have determined this is an interaction between kethane and Mechjeb and are pretty sure it is happening on the mechjeb side. I personally don't think so as MechJeb never causes me problems and I thought it was hyperedit.
Just bringing this to your attention so you could look into and see if it was your end or if I need to go report this to the hyperedit people.

I experience it fairly often, but couldn't identify exact repro case. The only thing that is common is that in all cases there were MJ onboard. Issue can only be resolved by restarting KSP.

i have also frequently noticed this (linux 32/64 bit) I know it NOT
hyperedit as I don't have it installed?

It has nothing to do with mechjeb, at least for me it also happens when mechjeb is not even installed.

This is a known NON-mechjeb issue and has been worked around in the latest kethane version.
