Ascend AP tries to roll 180 deg. after lift-off

Sometimes the Ascend AP rolls 180 deg. after lift-off causing the spacecraft to roll out of control. If it survives this, it rolls back when it starts the gravity turn. However, it doesn't always roll out of control. I think this is a bug.
Generally when I've had issues like this it was because a fuel line or a strut was catching drag in just the wrong spot. Enough to make the game-engine cause a roll, or for it to make MJ think it should be fighting a roll, or something (stock sas/asas doesn't glitch out though - so I'd imagine this is an API issue, or perhaps MJ is getting a bad number somehow). Also I've found that rotating the first module when you create a ship to cause this at times (the full flip, then re-flip at grav turn)
I have seen this too, but for some reason it never occurred to me to
manually fly the design before deleting it sigh if anyone has a design
that does this, maybe a few descriptions of how that design flys manually
under different circumstances, might just give a clue ???

I'm seeing this happen (the roll on launch, but staying there rather than rolling back for the gravity turn) for a craft, but only when "Use stock SAS" is enabled. I can provide a craft file if it would help.
Just out of curiosity (I stupidly forgot to keep my design) can you tell me
if this happens with the fuel cheat and maximum fuel the whole flight...
I am still wondering if this is a symptom of the centre of gravity changing
as fuel is used...
In which case is it a bug?

The roll "just after launch" is the Ascent AP aligning the pod heading with the north. If you put the AR204 on the side of the rocket and if that case is the "control from here" part then you rocket will roll.
The fix would be to check the alignment when the AP it activated. But there is an other bug that need to be fixed before I do that ( the roll is not locked properly with current version )
Long story short : I know about it and I'll fix it :)
oh it actually is a bug!
from your description am I correct in thinking that a workaround would be
to remove the MJ part and place it on the side of the rocket facing away
from the open side of the construction building
(ie facing you as you look out the building - the view you start with)
