after build 170 it seems the docking AP often missed the docking port, usually it will miss around 5m below or above from target docking port location, and sometimes it does not reach the docking port stucked around 2m before the docking port

I use OLDD LEM Pack docking port & AIES Probe. well i'll try to figure it out what's wrong to my ship.. thank you 😄

Well, the AP dock perfectly center in all my test. So something must be special with your ship or your use. Without more info I can't do more.

Ok it might be OLDD docking port is less compatible with new Docking AP. i tried with stock part and it aligned perfectly. but at 0.5m when the dock about "magnetized" the Docking AP seems translated backward when it suppose to disengage, it not docked yet but the dock "magnet" is dragging back the target ship.

I've occasionally problems with the docking port going backwards when it is suppose to disengage before too.

I'm suspecting it's a minor bug in the algorithm determining the point of connection between the two ports.

I haven't run into it lately, though, because I haven't been using Docking AP. I simply just use SmartASS Target+ to get the craft facing right. Then I line up the two parts, and connect. It's a lot faster, and uses much less RCS. I may be able to get away without an additional RCS tank on many of my craft at this point, but I don't like the idea of sending a ship to someplace to dock without enough fuel to get home, and then run out of RCS fuel.
