Rover Autopilot can't handle slopes

When using rover autopilot, it handles perfectly on flat surfaces, however when ever said rover is on a slope, it turns right and continues to do so until it slides to a flat surface. If it's on the side of a long slope it will continue to go in circles until disabled. I hope this isn't just human error, but I haven't been able to work through it.
