For smaller lighter vehicles, when Docking Autopilot is used, the RCS used to slow down the vehicle is too aggressive. When the ship is close to 1m, RCS will generate so much reverse thrust that the vessel will never get any closer to dock and Autopilot must be turned off for the magnetic pull to finish docking
