The aim is to provide eight days' worth of provisions for a typical three-Kerbal crew, similar to TAC-LS.

Playing around with USI-LS and reading the wiki, here's what I've gathered:

• Each Kerbal consumes Supplies and produce Mulch at a one-to-one ratio - 16.2 units per six-hour day
• Kerbals also require ElectricCharge (ostensibly for atmospheric/thermal climate control)
• Greenhouses convert Fertilizer and Mulch into supplies

In terms of SDHI SMS:

• Supplies and Mulch should be treated as solids; this means they cannot be stored in or transferred to/from the Service Module
• The Service Module provides enough ElectricCharge via solar panels or its fuel cell assembly
• For a typical eight-day mission profile, no Greenhouses and Fertilizer are needed

Therefore, USI-LS integration is just a simple matter of adding enough Supplies and Mulch to the Mk1-2 Pod itself via MM patch.
