The IPAs decoupler staging can't be fully disabled, the internal decoupler will always have a staging icon. So if you wan't to use them structurally for eg, there will always still be a staging icon, and a risk of accidentally decoupling something on staging.

An option for fuel crossfeed would be nice too.

I was playing around with it yesterday and you can hear the decoupler sounds, but it will not actually decouple.

This is a stock issue with parts that have multiple staging actions.

As the part uses/can use staging for both the 'open petal' and for the 'decouple payload', there will always be a staging icon regardless of if staging is actually enabled for both modules.

I'll see if there is anything I can do with the module configs to clean up the staging stuff. I've not had much luck trying to fix it from the plugin side, but I'll take another peek at that as well -- perhaps the stock system has improved recently.

Seems that I have a couple ohter parts that could benefit from this as well, the fairings, ISDC, and even the capsules in some cases.
