TACLS Carbon Extrator produces more O2 as it should

I am little bit confused how this extractor works. Hence I built a small facility on Kerbin and let it run a couple of hours. The results aren't matching my expectations as I assumed that chemistry on Kerbin is compareable to Earth. These are the results of my experiment:
Consumed CO2: 314
Produced O2: 316
I don't consider trash in my expermiment as the numbers already revealed something strange. How can the output be creater than the input? Shouldn't the O2 output be close to 72% of the input? This is what I would have expected:
Consumed CO2: 314
Produced O2: 228,3
At least I see what KSP does: It sums up the input of CO2 (18.76) and electricity (0.12) and creates an O2 output of 18.88 + some trash.
