In this match, at 05:18, ski_trip42 shot Henrylee99 and his death registered twice (both in the game chat and the log). First as "shot", and then as "doomed to fall".

Also, BluePoop's cannon kill at 10:41 wasn't counted in the stats at the end.

I've noticed this is some matches that I've played just to test. It seems that if you get killed by a bow, then respawn and then die of fall damage soon after, it still registers that the original shooter killed you.

@Keanulaszlo That's very interesting. I will look into that. I had just assumed it was a weird Minecraft bug. The way Minecraft calculates killer is bizarre to say the least. I believe I have a fix for the cannon kill issue, though, that I have implemented on my local copy. I will push in a bit, after I investigate what you mentioned.

Is it possible to reproduce the double death message? The match log suggests that it is just two deaths close together (which would be unsurprising if the victim had their bed set and just ran straight into danger again). If this is an actual bug, I feel like I would need some reproducable steps to hunt it down. Otherwise it'll have to be considered invalid.

It's going to be a tricky one to reproduce, and anyway, I don't think it can really be an AutoRef bug. But I think @Keanulaszlo is probably correct in that the second death was misattributed.

I hadn't realised before, but if you look at the log, the second death occcurred back at spawn. So what probably happened was that he missed the water drop, and Minecraft still thought his death was caused by Ski's shot because it happened within a few seconds.

I'll if I can get it to be a bit more accurate with how killers are credited. At the very least, that data should be cleared on death.
