Activate toggleable areas via redstone

I would like it if we could toggle areas via redstone, just like bridges and gates.

You can toggle WorldEdit schematics.

I couldn't find any documentation on that, all I could find was this forum post:

It only seems to work via right-clicking, not via redstone.
