If left side is full, overflow items goes right, despite sorting chest tell items should go left.

Would this be possible?

Pipe system connecting up to the sorter, 1 input on sorter's left side, 3 outputs on 3 chests, the sorter will keep items going into these chest, however once those 3 chests are full, currently it just drops the items out on the ground to the left side.

This is what im asking if possible to change, to keep the items 'in-system', and rather let it be possible to have a 'collect-all' sort of chest at end, than having items ending up outside of the pipes

That isn't possible due to how pipes work. The best thing you could do would be have bigger storage.

I'd rather not implement this, it kind of doesn't go with how the sorter is supposed to work. It is supposed to sort items to a side. Having it overflow to the other side defeats the purpose of a sorter. That'd be more of an overflow switch.
