I'll apologize if this isn't the right place for this but I was direct here by SK's forum saying this is the place to make requests/suggestions. That being said:
I was hoping that you could add in the option for redstone to activate lifts. Currently the only way to utilize a redstone signal is by putting a button on the back side of the block. The functionality I'm suggesting/requesting is the same as how Gates/Bridges can be activated using a redstone circuit to activate them aiming a repeater at the block the sign is mounted on.
Here's the reasoning behind it/the effect I'm hoping to create.
I want to create a "teleportation" chamber where a player hits a button but instead of just teleporting them up to the next lift sign the following sequence could be setup/wired:
-Player hits button.
-The outside doors would close (set on a timer that is initiated by the button press). This hides the player disappearing inside the chamber.
-The same redstone signal (delayed via repeaters) then activates the lift sign and sends the player up to the next lift sign.
-The doors can then cycle open again.
To have the effect work, the lift sign can't activate before the doors close. I don't want to you a separate button to close the doors as it breaks the effect. I also don't want to use a pressure plate as the player can be trapped within the chamber.
I'm sure there are some problems tying a redstone signal to the person that activated it but the community for Minecraft is pretty amazing.
