This system would not work with any existing gate, and would require the gate system to be entirely rewritten. As well as doors and bridges.
Please use toggle areas instead, as this is what they were intended for.

ToggleAreas are great. I use them on my server for creating animations.

Well didnt know anything of that feature ;)
Hope i can convince my server admin to let us use the wand tool from worldedit
