By using the Unicode private domain (like I did for container overlay textures), I could allow admins to map these character codes to admin-provided images. Admins could use these as custom item display names or lore, or in (custom) GUIs.

Note: I should make it possible to include such characters in custom item display names/lore as well, since my text input system is currently somewhat limited...
