Worn armor textures on minecraft 1.12.2

It looks like the worn armor textures don't work on 1.12.2, but I wasn't able to figure out why...
No errors are generated in the client log, so this will be a hard search...
I should probably ask someone who knows more about Optifine.
I asked around on the Optifine discord, and the answer was that I had to use assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/cit/... instead of assets/minecraft/optifine/cit/... for minecraft 1.12 and earlier. This should be quite easy to fix.
