Is there a possibility of adding JSON support to the messages.yml? E.g. the String needs to start with [JSON] and then a formatting in JSON (with compatibility of the placeholders).

Not really because we’d have to be able to send messages to players using all supported chat plugins in addition to vanilla chat handling
