I would find it very useful to have the bot synchronize in-game players with a role to denote that they are online each time they join or leave the game server, so in-game players would appear separate from players who are just "on discord".

This would be a great feature to have. I'm surprised it hasn't been implemented since it was requested 1.5 years ago. +1

It hasn't been implemented because new features are mainly going to be added to the upcoming rewrite: DiscordSRV2 (No ETA)
