So I put an item up for sale, say 20 dirt for 1 dollar each. I don't want to sell it after all, so I do /cancel dirt. The dirt remains for sale and I get it back in my inventory. I can continue to cancel it over and over again and I receive it in my inventory. NOT good.

You'll need to provide more information on the setup.
I have tested /sell and /cancel countless times for varying reasons, and would have noticed something that obvious if it happened on my setup.

Well, it might just be me. Every time someone posts something into the
shop, they receive an Internal Server Error; however, the item still enters
the stock and is removed from their inventory. Same goes with executing any
other command, including /buy, /price, and even /stock.
