What about forge? Anyone any idea how to get it running on forge 1.21.6?

Thankyou So Much!

I second this. Is there a way to add support manually?

I too am looking forward to an update - my Dynmap still isn't rendering Pale Garden features properly and I'm running the latest version!

I manually updated the mod by opening the JAR with 7-Zip and editing fabric.mod.json to change the Minecraft version. After that, I could use the commands and access the Dynmap page. It’s stable enough for my purposes. For security, be sure to back up your world before adding this to a live server.

how about for paper?

I got it working for Paper 1.21.6 (Build 28) https://github.com/Chaosjan44/dynmap/releases/tag/1.21.6
It's a bit sketchy tho, I'd also recommend waiting for a proper release - if you want to use dynmap on 1.21.6 (Paper) now you could give the build a try tho.

I can't seem to locate this json file in the jar when opening it as an archive.

Unfortunately, I can't give you a definitive answer on that. From my own experience with Fabric, I had to figure things out myself to get my servers updated, and I quickly realized it was a relatively simple task. Paper, however, seems to involve a few more changes. Because of that, I would recommend waiting for the official release of the newest version.
