Global Pet issue, beyond just human

Hi, I represent FireflyMC. Not the owner, so my info is limited. However, I'm the one pushing the plugin down my dearest owner's throat. :) The server runs on 1.7.5. We are not updated to 1.7.8 or 1.7.9. We found that the echopet plugin suddenly produced crashes a couple of weeks ago. This included /pet human being massively glitchy, and default versions of pets following you after certain events. Ultimately, these actions caused crashes, such as an individual being locked out upon logging out, and requiring a reboot. After we fixed stability issues as "updated the server" (I presume the .exe the server runs on - mind you, I'm not the owner) I asked for echopets to be redownloaded and installed. We're still on 1.7.5, and /pet human caused an internal error, and /pet sheep (for instance) caused a sheep without legs or a face, but just wool. This lead to the server crashing entirely and the plugin being removed. /pet baby:pig also produced a pig that instantly disappeared.

I apologize for not having more specific details on specs, but these are the issues that occured leading us to uninstall the server. The plugin is fantastic, and I miss it greatly. We were just launching a donor shop. I know some of these topics were touched on, but I wanted to make sure I got informed of when they were fixed or what progress has been made. Thank you!

All the bugs you mentioned should now be fixed. Thanks for reporting!

Note: Sheep without legs are intentional; it's how the Minecraft client renders invisible sheep. Pets automatically turn invisible with their owner, explaining why that would have happened ๐Ÿ˜„

Hello,

I just want to verify the proper procedure. Redownloading 2.3.3 will come
with the fixes, correct? I didn't see a newer number, and we don't use the
updater.

Thanks so much!

Nope. These fixes will only be including in development builds. You can find the link on the BukkitDev page ๐Ÿ˜„
