This was occurring with somebody's Creeper pet, I am not sure if that is relevant. These 3 crashes occurred in succession, immediately after restarting server it would crash again and I had to disable EchoPet to resolve the issue.

Version: git-Spigot-1491 (MC: 1.7.9) (Implementing API version 1.7.9-R0.3-SNAPSHOT)

Are you willing to test out a development build? :)

commented

Yeah, we'll try it out!

commented

You can find the latest build here ;D

We're currently running the dev build on our server, so far so good I'll update this if there's any issues.

commented

Alright, awesome :)

Ah unfortunately it was too good to be true I'm afraid, the server crashed again today with the same java.lang.NullPointerException: Ticking entity error. Crash report:

Are there any other stacktraces before that? Can you also check the EchoPet log file for me?

commented

That's everything that was in the crash report. The EchoPet.log file is empty. Is logging something that needs to be toggled? As I don't see a setting for it in the config.

commented

Nothing in the server logs before the crash occurred?

This is everything in the server log:
