Having similar problem, also server is locking up due to it. #1974
Wish I kept a backup of my old Spigot jar before updating. :/

Saw from #1974 that "Latest spigot build (commit 17ee35ec62e) updated to SnakeYAML 1.21 and this causes the error."

This has happened just after updating to latest spigot file
