Details
Description
On server start-up:
[16:19:53] [Server thread/ERROR]: [Essentials] You are running an unsupported server version!
Unsupported" message should be INFO or WARN, not ERROR. Essentials continues to enable and run without errors.
Steps to reproduce
Expected behavior
- Update to Spigot 1.15.2
- Start server
There is only really a visual difference between the various logging types, nothing more. It is just there to let you know that the version of the plugin you're using was not intended for that server version. This error should resolve itself once you've updated to a version of EssentialsX that is built for 1.15.2. Although it is true that not much (if anything) normally breaks on a minor release, so you can sometimes safely ignore the error.
Agreed, but ERROR is a bit heavy. This report was more a subtle hint to update EssentialsX to support 1.15.2, but I'm sure you're already on it.
I figured as much. I just pushed the changes right now. A build will probably be available as soon as someone is able to review and pull it. Keep in mind that this could still take a while though, as the devs do have lives outside of maintaining the plugin. Not super high priority either, since there are little/no breaking changes.
Agreed to all of the above. Reminder does not imply impatience. Just getting the issue on the stack.
EssentialsX now officially supports 1.15.2 - you can download the latest build from here. (Note: the 1.15.2 build contains no functional differences except for the version suppoprt message.)
