Spawner eggs not working after essentials 2.17.2

Description
This happens with essentials 2.18.1 and before on 2.17.2 it was working fine and it says essentials supports versions 1.8 and up but the server is on 1.8.8 and it still doesn't work
Steps to reproduce
/give debuffpvp 383:50 1
/give debuffpvp creeperegg 1
this all used to work before
Expected behavior
Give the creeper egg

one of the staff said my other ticket i made wasn't showing my full thing gyazo allows you to full screen to see the video and its dialog of the ingame chat

New issue -> Report a bug -> Fill out everything that is asked for -- do not delete sections that are required in the template.
