Sometimes the motd is not appearing to players on join. It feels almost random, but once it doesn't appear it won't appear until after a server reboot.

Are you behind a proxy? Does your chat go by quickly? Can you time when it appears and doesn't appear, and paste server logs around that period?

I feel like it might be conflicting plugins or something. There's also a random blank line that's shown above where the motd is/should be, and I doubt that's essentials related.

But yeah it's behind a proxy.
