So I have an old server setup, which has minepacks v1. If I upgrade to v2 will anything reset in minepacks and will I have any errors?

I haven't tested the upgrading code in a long time, but in theory it should work without issues. Though you might have to fix some things in the config files.
Besides that, the upgrade guide should still apply.
