Allow one way IRC->Minecraft channels

In my particular use case, I'd like to monitor IRC from within Minecraft, but I don't want my in-game chat to annoy people on IRC who may not even care about minecraft. I'd like a setting in the channel configuration to send chat from IRC to MC, but not the reverse.
On the same topic, a command to manually talk in that IRC channel might be nice. So I can selectively send messages back to IRC from MC if I want to respond to some particular chat in there.
Thanks!
done, in next RB or latest dev build http://voice.monstercraft.org:8080/job/MonsterIRC/112/
Youll have to be a little more specific here. What chat plugin are you using if any? Is it just you wou wants to be able to monitor this channel.
I have a hard time getting behind a feature that I know Herochat 5.5 can already do for you with a little configuration.
So we have a group I'll call 'AMT'. Some AMT people play minecraft, some don't. The ones that do, can join #amtMC and chat back and forth with people in-game. The rest of them are just in #amt. While in game, I'd like to be able to talk to people in #amt, but I don't want every single in-game chat to clutter up #amt. Not using any plugins which modify minecraft chat, but if you say Herochat can do this kind of thing, I'll look into it.
I can also understand you not wanting to put too many features...then you'll end up with something like CraftIRC3 which has a completely insane configuration file (the price of flexibility is complexity).
Yes, you can setup herochat to do this while mimicking the default chat if you want. We actually have 3 different irc channels monitoring different in game chat channels.
