Remembering which portal is which can become a pain when you have a lengthy list - to ease the process, I think you should be able to select a portal with the wand, and using the /mvps command. This allows for people to link portals more easily, and makes portal management just a tad easier.

For example:
I select a region via the wand (WorldEdit or not)
/mvps
You have selected portal: portal_name

It also presents an opportunity to add functionality to select multiple portals within a selected region.

For example:
I select a region via the wand (WorldEdit or not) containing two portals
/mvps
You have selected portals: portal_name, portal_name_2
OR
Error: There is more than one portal in this region: portal_name, portal_name_2

This would at least give us a good idea of what portals are where, based on an intuitive region select.

/mvp debug

then run though the portals and it will tell you where it is and the name
