Please explain your issue. How do you trigger it?

The server console had been reported this error since I installed MVdWPlaceholderAPI, but the plugin still works at that point. Yesterday I changed the configure file of permissionEX plugins\PermissionsEx\config.yml and change the value of permission.backend from file to sql. After that I add some prefix by /pex command. But when I try to use /nte to change the nametag. It won't work. The nametag will display the player's original playername.

Are there any errors in the console? Please use: https://pastebin.com

Are you using the latest Jenkins build? I thought I fixed this issue in #215
