Problem Description

I setup the option to true, no lapis enchant..so i thimk its the 1.7 enchanting system. but it still uses inly 3 kevels when enchanting and not all 30, for example for a maxed enchant

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Use enchanting table with the config option "nolapis" set to true
  2. It still uses 3 levels an not all 30 like 1.7

Expected Behaviour

It should use all the levels in enchanting table

Actual Behaviour

It uses only 3/2 or 1 levels, based on what is chosen

commented

This is intended, the feature was only meant to spare people from needing lapis for enchanting, not actually replicate 1.7 enchantment behaviour.

Can I ask what you are using this feature for?

commented

I thought when you set to true the no lapis, it was intended to bring back the enchanting as it was in 1.7, so without lapis and using all the levels... if by chance the feature isn't there, is it possible to implement it?

commented

No, the no lapis module does exactly what the name says: it removes the need to use lapis for enchantments. I'm not sure if that's even within the scope of this plugin, given it doesn't directly affect combat.

  1. Is there no other plugins that bring back old enchantment mechanics?
  2. I ask again, what do you need this feature for?
commented

I don't think there is a plugin that reproduces these mechanics...I just double checked and couldn't find anything
I needed the feature for the classic prison, it seemed like an oldschool feature but I couldn't find anything around except this plugin with the lapis enchant
Obviously I am aware of the fact that the plugin concerns the combat mechanics but thinking about the no lapis feature, if you could add a "sub-class" so to speak that indicates whether you want the 1.8 or 1.7 enchant to ensure that you can use all the levels!

Well I can consider this as an "enhancement", but given it is out of scope for the plugin it will not have very high priority. This means it may get implemented at some point but definitely not before other things are sorted out first.

This is unfortunately out of scope for this plugin, which only deals with combat changes from 1.8 onwards.
