At that point it sounds like you'd be better off finding a generic plugin that allows you to run commands with items so you could integrate anything into your server. A nightstick to /oi target, a taser to /freeze target, etc. I'm not sure of any off the top of my head, but I know I've seen them in the past. Admittedly, anything I remember looking at while administrating servers is now 5+ years old, so who knows if those plugins are maintained still. Not sure that I want to include this back into OI because I would probably want to make it a more specialized tool than just the old material-based check with a toggle.

I would give it to someone so they can just click with the stick on a player and inspect their inventory. This feature would make the game more immersive from my pov. My server is a roleplaying server so I would give it to the cops for example. I watched many videos about the plugin and saw the /toggleopeninv but it didn't work, so I came here. Thanks for answering me btw!

Could you explain a use case for this feature? OI did once have this, but it was pretty useless because it's far easier to just run the command yourself thanks to tab completion.
