It's default: true not default:true. Add a space in there.

To get those working, you need a chat management plugin.

Since almost everyone uses EssentialsX, they use EssentialsXChat which goes with it— and Vault is a dependency of EssentialsXChat, so you'd need that too.

ok thx

but what about the prefixes they doesn't work

commented

You haven't set up EssentialsXChat correctly— and you're on your own with that until I get the guides back that Bukkit deleted —and you made a mistake in your permissions.yml file when you added the prefix.

i downloaded essentialsxchat but it still doesn't work
another thing to say is when i add a prefix to the default group the whole plugin stops

online-mode: false? That would be why the server doesn't work.

PEX does not support offline servers.

commented

is there any way to make support offline servers?

commented

i looked up essentials chat tutorial and i did it correctly but it still not working.
and it still doesn't add players to the default group even after i added the space.
please help.

In your server.properties file, what is the current online-mode setting?

commented

its offline

commented

Nope. Since offline servers are typically used by people playing on hacked/illegal copies of Minecraft, PEX will never support them.
