Temporary rank

Hello,
I'm working on my minecraft server (paper 1.16.4) and i have a problem with permissions. I want to give a temporary rank to my players but it doesn't work.
The command is : /pex user playerName group add rankname * time
The player is added to the group but the time is infinit.
Can you help me please ?
