Is it possible to make custom blocks made with Spout compatable as stones?

It would require that everyone have the spout server and client or else the whole thing would break down. Only a tiny amount of servers force players to use the client (kick everyone else out). Not worth the monumental development effort it would take to convert to custom blocks.
