Precious Stones not preventing place or preventing destroy in protection zones 1.4.4 minecraft

Since we updated to minecraft 1.4.4, the mod will create stones and fields, and visualize stuff works, but anyone can destroy or place blocks in a protected area now. in 1.4.2 it worked fine. All I did was update the minecraft_server.jar file. No changes were made to config.
