My server is being spammed with warnings about establishing an SSL certificate. In the config I have ssl=false. Is there a way to set ssl to true and give the config a valid certificate if I have one? Otherwise is there a way to set it to false just to stop the spam.

Its a mismatch setup from your server. You can disable this message con mysql config file.
