I cannot reproduce this..Please make sure you are actually testing with Shopkeepers v1.18.
I tried all kind of clicking:

shift clicking on the trade tripwirehook
shift clicking on items tripwirehooks in the inventory
left/right clicking
double clicking
in survival and creative mode
