Bug description
While there is an release delay for the voice activation mode, there is not one for push-to-talk. If there's enough latency in one's microphone processing chain, this makes it very difficult to not cut the ends off of one's sentences, especially since you can't hear yourself.
While there is a workaround (namely, switching to voice activity and using the mic-mute keybind instead of PTT), it would be very useful to have a push-to-talk release delay setting, like that for voice activity.
Minecraft version
1.21.7
Mod/Plugin version
1.21.7-2.5.33
Mod/Plugin loader and version
Fabric 0.16.14
Steps to reproduce
- Create latency in your microphone processing, e.g. route it through NVIDIA broadcast or a DAW.
- Set your activation method to push-to-talk, and select your latency-ridden mic.
- If you release your PTT button when you finish speaking, it will cut off the end of your sentence.
